AnglerPermit Canada
Frequently asked questions
The questions our support team is asked most often. If yours is not here, email support@anglerpermit.com.
1. Are you a government website?
No. AnglerPermit Canada is an independent, privately operated licence-assistance service. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of Canada or any provincial or territorial agency. Our service fee is charged in addition to the government licence fee, and licences can also be bought directly from official provincial portals for the government fee alone.
2. Why use your service instead of applying myself?
You can absolutely apply yourself on the provincial portal. People use us because a single form replaces several government screens, because we check the application by hand for the errors that cause rejections, and because we handle residency, identification and renewal questions by email.
3. How long does it take?
Most applications are reviewed and submitted the same day, and licence documents are emailed within 24 hours on business days. Applications submitted on weekends or provincial holidays are processed the next business day.
4. What does it cost?
The total shown at checkout is the government licence fee plus our flat service fee, with no later charges. Full details, including typical totals for each province, are on the Pricing page.
5. Which provinces do you serve?
Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan. Each province has its own application page with the licence types available there.
6. Do I need to be a Canadian resident?
No. Provinces issue resident, Canadian-resident and non-resident licences at different prices. The form asks about your residency first and then shows only the licences you qualify for.
7. What information do I need to apply?
Your legal name, date of birth, residential address and contact details, plus government identification details where the province requires them (for example a driver's licence or provincial ID number). Some provinces ask additional questions, which the form presents automatically.
8. Can I get a refund?
Yes, under the conditions in our Refund Policy — most commonly when you cancel before submission or when we are unable to complete your application.
9. How is my personal information handled?
Your data is transmitted over an encrypted connection, used only to prepare and submit your licence application, and never sold. See our Privacy Policy.
